Killing/removing Cyano

Well, I used the Chemi-clean last week. My tank is now free of cyano, even the stuff that was on macro-algae. It may be my imagination but my water looks clearer too. I have heard that some people have their cyano disappear in hours but it took almost a week for it all to go for me. All tank occupants seem happy as normal.

Try not to overfeed some much it's good to let it go in new tanks as it'll cycle like even the water did.

for my tank, the chemiclean did not work...

I ended up researching more, and found that I had some type of Dino's..
I added more macro to my fuge, and increased flow, lowered my photoperiod, and started wet-skimming and it went away within a week.

That makes me happy....
