Never used, but some comments. The Reefmania skimmer looks very nicely built. I like the fact you can unbolt the neck from the body to clean the body (although I have to admit I've never bothered cleaning any of my skimmer bodies). And I've always liked grey gate valves :P The down-sides I see are:
1) the neck isn't tapered like Euroreef, Deltec, Bubble King, etc. The tapered neck, IMO, really helps with foam formation.
2) Sedras (and Oceanrunners) are good, but Eheims are better. Costs a lot more though.
3) The intake and outlet plumbing planning don't like very thought-out. I'd be afraid a lot of bubbles escape out of the skimmer back into the sump.

At its price, I think it's a worthy contender to Euroreefs and Deltecs. Personally, I wouldn't say the Reefmania products (any of their products, not just skimmers) offered anything innovative or of very high value to make me move away from the proven designs. If they were priced cheaper, I'd certainly consider one.

FYI this skimmer image shown is missing the 1 1/2" elbow inside the skimmer body. Which points down to the base. That is a bit outdated image. The skimmer also has a drain valve in the cup. Also the output plumbing does come supplied just not glued. They are just in the picture for reference.

here are some pics the owner of the company sent.. he moded the skimmer for eheims and took some pics of the standard one with two sedras with foam production.

here is the blurb from him.

"My neck is not so much flared. Just under the base of the neck union the acrylic is chamfered at a 45 degree angle, to aid in the bubble going into the neck. I can make them with Eheim pumps. I have done a PS8 with 1-Eheim Needle Pump. I think if someone wanted 2-Eheims it would be wiser to use a 10” chamber instead of the 8”, but the same overall height dimensions. I don’t know if the 8” could handle the 2-Eheims. Maybe if I made a PS8 taller than normal it may be able to handle the 2-Eheims. I have attached pictures of a PS8 with one Ehiem 1260. This particular customer opted for the add on Carbon Cup Holder. I have also attached pictures of a regular PS8 with 2-Sedra 5000. This skimmer is on my own tank. 140Gal SPS Heavy fish load (14 fish), The cup was just cleaned 5 days ago." - Bob Porter Reefmania.net
