New ASM Skimmer, the ASM Mini

All Seas Marine has recently released a new skimmer, the ASM Mini. We just got our first one in, I have taken several pictures and posted them.

What kind of pump does it use?

The Impeller is different than the ones used in the Sedra.

I am not sure yet, there are no markings on the pump body to indicate it. I will post it once I find out though.

That impellor reminds me of those Coralife units.

my LFS has had them for about a week. cool little skimmer. works well. I would say built for the 30-50gallon system.....

That looks like the same impeller from a Turboflotor skimmer from Aquamedic.

Rob, that's a great price for that skimmer! It's a very clean design that should sell well.

It looks like it could also be a great secondary skimmer for someone who wants to run ozone through it.

Seems like its the same needle wheel on the coralife units, plus you can get a larger Coralife skimmer for a little bit less money.

Anyone have an idea of which would be a better skimmer for a 29gal SPS tank? I'm leaning toward the coralife primarily because of what I said above...
