after my 120g cycles, what kind of clean up crew should to a tank that i am setting up to be able to handle any type of coral, fish, invert, etc... i end up deciding on putting in there?

from what i have read, snails only. if so, what type and how many?

The clean up critters I like are Tongan fighting conches and Tongan "Turbo" snails (big snails with round shells of a marbly appearance).

Nassarius snails to clean up left over food,

Cerith snails will do a little bit of sand bed and will not die when flipped, never did more than a lack luster job for me though.

Turbo species will devour algae like mad; however, some hermits will kill them, they cannot right themselves, and they are often knock looser rock work and frags all over.

Scarlet hermits are docil and decent algea grazers.

Bluelegged and other hermits are opportunistic but safe enough when small.

----

I believe in trying for diversity as much as possible. In my 30 gallon I have 3 mexican turbos, 3 margarita snails (turbos), 2 atlantic turbos, 4 cerith snails, 5 nassarius snails, 7 blue legged hermits, 2 key hole limpits (to be removed to the sump), 1 very large unknown hermit, 1 unknown conch, and a peppermint shrimp. Still have a whole lot of algea :? !

I would say get a little of everything (make sure they are compatible first). Since you have a large tank, you will be able to handle a large variety of cleaners. But rather than buy them all at once, consider getting a couple "installments" at a time. Start with 40-50ish and add 5-10 every once in a while from there. That way the tank can mature before it is overrun by cleaners and it will be able to handle more cleaners.

Oh, and since jsteel mentioned online stores:

www.aquaticisland.com has:

Nassarius Vibex, Cerith, Margaritas, and Red Tipped Hermits for a very low price.

www.reefermadness.us has:

Turbo Snails, 14 Margarita Snails, Cone Trochus Snails, Cerith Snails, Astrea Snails, Scarlet Reef Hermit Crabs, Red Leg Hermit Crabs, Hawaiian Left Handed Hermit Crabs, Nessarious Snail, Tonga Bumble Bee Snails, Mithrax Crab, 3 Tonga Fighting Conch, and Queen Conch in their cleaning pakage; though some are either/or. I have never ordered but it is very diverse.

www.saltwaterfish.com has:

Scarlet Hermit Crab, Blueleg Hermit Crab, Turbo/Astrea Snail, Nassarius Snail, Coral Banded Shrimp, Emerald Crab, Brittle Star, Sally Lightfoot Crab, Peppermint Shrimp, and quite a bit more depending on their package.

www.premiumaquatics.com also has a selction.

In the end, most online saltwater fish stores will have cleaning crews; some good, some 'bad'. It is really up to you. I personally do not want to spend more that a $1 on a snail unless i buy locally.

I'm not a fan of crabs. The right mix of snails can accomplish the same thing.
