Try a fiddler crab or ghost shrimp. Dogface puffers adapt to prepared foods pretty quickly.

fresh clams always worked for mine- take a knife and carefully pry open the clam and just drop it in. They like chewing on the shells too-

where can i get fresh clams at??

Go to the seafood counter at your grocery store, they should have some live clams on ice behind the glass counter.

Split one open so the inside is exposed and set it on the bottom of the tank. If he doesn't go for it, take the clam out after a day, they do go bad.

I would take it out after an hour if he hasn't gone for it. They can foul a tank very quickly. Maybe that's a bit paranoid though.

like Laura said, check out the seafood department at your local grocery store, or your local fishmonger, or an Asian grocery store(the Asian market near me usually has 3 or 4 varieties of clams for sale)

Wait, your listed as residing in Tarpon Springs, Florida, and you're asking US where to get clams from?????
