Ushio 14k's

Anyone try these yet? I took a chance and bought some 250w DE's but I'm still setting up my new 135. I'm curious to know if anyone has any tank shots...the wait to get this thing up and running is agonizing!

I wasn't aware Ushio started making 14Ks Cool. I have no idea how they look, but I'd love to hear your experience when you get them.

Ushio hasn't updated their website. They only have info about them if you click on their link to more information on the 10k lamps. I stumbled onto the info, and since I work for a commercial electrical company, I checked with one of my fixture vendors to see if he could get them. Actually, it was funny...he told me when he contacted his ushio rep, they told him they didn't make a 14k :lol: I had to print out the page on Ushio's website so he could fax it to Ushio! Maybe I'm the first person to get these in the U.S.? Got 'em for $70 each, same price for the 250 and 150 DE's. God, I'm really itching to get these up and running! I'll have the 150 on my 20L first most likely. I'll get pics up as soon as the 150's get in!

I got my DE 14k 250 watt ushio from reefgeek. Boy it looks like a 10k......nice crisp white and not blue at all. I wish I went with the Phoenix 14k instead, but there is always next year. I have had the new 14k for about a month.
