I just ordered a bunch of Astrea's, scarlet hermits and blue hermits. Most are spoken for by others but I won't be able to deliver for another 3 days. There's 100 Astreas and 120 crabs. The scarlets don't really move much. Will they be ok for that long in a 2gal rubbermaid with a heater and no circulation???

No they wont. If 1 dies, which it very well could, it will rot and kill everyone else. Spend the $5 and get a 20 gallon trash can, or tote, you'll be much better off, and throw a powerhead in there too. Otherwise the area around the heater will be warm, not the entire container.

I would say get a bit of air flow into the water aswell with a airstone or let the powerhead suck in air with that amount of life in the container one needs air in the water

Yes--definitely need aeration. Snails don't do well at all when there's not good aeration of the water. --jd

I would expect the crabs to start dining on the snails if there's nothing else to munch on.

Like the others said you need some circulation. I kept my entire tank in a rubbermaid for 2 weeks. I did have circulation set up tho.
