is there a way to post a picture right from your computer or does it have to come from web page?

Hi. You can upload any photo onto the Reefs.org server in jpeg or gif file format. To attach a photo, in your "post reply" screen (note: not "quick reply"), you will see a section at the bottom half where you can upload a file from your computer. Find the photo on your computer and upload it to the server. It will appear in your post.
However, there is a 256kb file size limit. You will have to reduce the quality or size of your photo to upload it. We recommend photos be no bigger then 640 pixels wide so that it doesn't stretch out the screen for members using 1024 resolution.
