Anyone think that this fish would do well in my 300G?

I need to ask them how big it is so that I know how well I think it can stand up to my Atlantic Blue Tang.

I have never heard of a Dussumieri Tang before.

Pretty fish. And unusual.

It's an awesome fish. It's also a HUGE HUGE HUGE (oh yeah, and HUGE) fish. 300G is even pushing it (in terms of minimum size). Otherwise, nice fish that is perfectly suitable for reef tanks

Hey Louey,

The eye stripe sugeon is said to be very hardy and peaceful (as far as tangs go). Not sure about The Marine Center's Max size stat. I think they actually get up to 20" long. A 300g may be pushing it.

TMC"s max size is technically accurate: "12+ inches" :lol: I've seen them bigger then 15" .... it's quite a site to behold. I wouldn't doubt some reaching 2 feet.

Still, it should fair much better than the Achilles if you can get one around medium size.

I've seen full grown ones. They get 20" long!
