So about a month ago I made a purchase of my first urchin in 15 yrs. A nice little tuxedo that I find entertaining. I was quite amused by the self-camoflauge behavior.
But.... I did not anticipate it obviously bursting what tiny amount of bubble aglae I had. Now I have a minor explosion of small vesicles which are too many and in difficult places to remove manually.
I realize it can be hit or miss with mithrax (plus I am hesitant to add crabs) and rabbitfish. I am still considering one as I could use a new fish. Would it be better to get a foxface type with the longer snout, or just the regular type of rabbitfish? Any experiences or advice. I had a yellow foxface a long time ago, but it was really annoying as it just swam back and forth across the front glass. It passed away when someone watched my tank while I was in Europe a few years ago.
Any advice/experience anyone?
