Hey guys,

I have finally got the bulb for my halide! got a 250w 20k hamilton.

So now I am converting to the new light. How long should I have the Halide on to start? How long do I wait till increasing the time its on?

LFS dude says start it at 4 hours and go an hour a week longer.

Does that sound right ?

Thanks for Everything!!!

that gonna be pretty blue .. I run a DE 14K hamilton and its blue enough for me. Anyhow.. you could easily start it at 4 hrs/ day , but I would think you could add more timeevery other day or so... its just according what you have in your tank and what light it is use too. You may consider simply raising the fixture a few extra feet and leaving it on longer...

btw i forgot to turn my fan on today with my halide and when i got home the tank temp was 90! DOH. So dont forget your fan!

If your lights are on a timer put the fan on the same timer.
