Hi! Sorry, I don't post much here, but once we got set up (thanks to all of your help) we have had very few problems and I don't have a whole lot of time to get to the forums to read.
But I do have a question.
This is what we have:
55 gallon tank with: 3 blue/green Chromis, 1 green clown goby, 1 royal gramma, 1 scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, 1 turbo snail, 2 nassirius snails, and lots of prolific mushroom coral as well of lots of live rock.
We have a deep sand bed and a very small refugium that is thriving with all kinds of interesting life back there. We unfortunately have the ocassional aptaisia as well, but we have used Joe's Juice for that (I hope that's ok).
So my question is this: With all of that, in what seems to be a fairly stable tank in which we don't add new things very often because we have had very few fatalities, can we add one more fish? My 3 y.o. daughter has decided that we must have a "nemo" fish. LOL! So, can we add a clown fish to the mix that we have now or is that not a good idea? I could picture one hanging out in the mushroom coral (even though that's not what they do in the wild) but the green goby seems to have claimed our mushroom coral for his own, so I don't know that that would work.
Let me know what you think. I am certainly not going to give into my daughter just because she wants a "nemo" fish. But she is extraordiarily interested in the fish and if it would work, then I would certainly consider it.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
Amy
