After talking to a LFS at the weekend - I got a nudibranch (white and pink body - orange branch and feelers) - it/he/she was fine for both days - until last night - there he/she/it was gliding over the LR as it does then the next time I looked (30 minutes later)...... 8O why has it stuffed its head in that hole - must be after something - well slowly he disappeared and seemed to deflate as he went - I could see nothing pulling him in...

This morning there is no sign of it - I can't quite see into the hole it went into but I can see into the first few mm - no sign....

So what happened to it - has something eaten my Nudi, if so what, do I bung milliput into the hole and seal it up..

Will there be more of these mystery predators?

Nudis tend to do dismally in reef tanks. The have particular dietary needs that we seem to be unable to supply.

That said, can you see anything in the hole now?

I managed to get a mirror and a torch angled to see partly down the hole, no sign of the Nudi, all I can see is whitish thing with an appendage in front (slightly pink) it fills the diameter of the hole, the 'arm' moved when I shone the torch down. I have no idea what it is......

Thanks for the reponse.

I am ashamed for the hobby that people try and sell these creatures.

They most often die in our tanks because we simply cannot offer it a proper diet.

My suggestion is to not buy another one if this one does not make it.
