Help!

I'm plumbing my 2 overflows with the Oceanic kits and I'm not sure what type of flex hose to use and how to join it to the PVC.

I am using the 1" bulkhead as the drain and 3/4" as the return. Pics of your plumbing would be helpful. I would also like to know where to find a 'Y' to help facilitate maximum flow in the return. My pump is a Mag 9.5.

I also have a JBJ chiller with 3/4" hose connections to plumb...

Thanks-

I want to bump this just to ask if you folks out there just use good ol' PVC cement to glue flex PVC or if you use the special kind that oatey makes. :)

Look for "spa flex" in your local hardware/home improvement store. It works with regular PVC fittings. It's the same process as gluing hard pipe - clean/prime, apply glue to both pieces, push/twist and hold.

As for the glue, regular PVC glue works on the flex (I've used it), but I suppose the glue made specifically for flex would be the best choice.

Yeah regular primer + regular PVC cement (medium clear).

The glue intended for the flex supposedly makes a less rigid, more durable joint for vibration applications where flex is normally used (ie. pools, spas. etc.)

To the OP, on the chiller (hose connection) you may just want to use vinyl hose and hose clamps (also available at local hardware/home improvement places). You can adapt from hard/flex PVC to hose with a PVC male adapter fitting.
