Definitely do not aerate the kalk/freshwater mix as you will precipitate out the bulk of the kalk as calcium carbonate (er, sand). Actually, it's best to keep your kalkwasser sealed up to avoid contact with air before administering it to your aquarium, to keep a fresh supply of CO2 away from it.
