not sure whar the name is? i bought it for the nice blue color it is or was .it broke into five or so pieces not sure what i can do sorry the pic may be that good

IS it a coral or a sponge? It looks like a sponge from the pic. If it is you may need to move it to a lower light lower flow place in the tank.

it is a sponge. but well all the pieces that have broken of be fine if i but them on a rock or something

I dont know much about sponges but that exposing some to air at any time can be deadly to them. But not all are like that, I also think phyto feedings might be a good idea. I have never in all these years bought a sponge, as I have never looked into there care requirements first.....

I have seen these blue sponges at my LFS. I was surprised the store admits they don't live very long. I really wanted one too
