Problem with skimmer microbubbles

I have a euroreef skimmer that has been working great, but has recently started depositing a ton of micro bubbles into the sump. These subsequently get returned to the tank.

The bubbles come out through the effluent. I've adjusted the foam, cleaned the pump, cleaned the venturi with toothpick and freshwater.

I don't get it. Any ideas?

Is there any way you can put another baffle between where the skimmer is and your return pump?

I would set the skimmer to however it skims best, and work on baffling the bubbles before they get to the pump.

how about the sponge around the ouput tube. move it up a bit or add another so you have two on the outlet. I alsways used two of them to prevent as much waterfall as possible. the sponges work great. you just need to clean them occasionaly.
