So I found this guy on the wall. He has an oval shell with weeds growing on it. The other side of him looks like a snail bottom. I tried to pull him off but he suction cupped himself to the wall.
My skimmer is/was full of limpets. When they get too big I remove them and drop them into the tank. They usually live.
I killed about 100 of them when I cleaned my skimmer during the tank switch.
There was no way to get them out of the skimmer since it was such a tight squeeze.
Learn something new everyday, I guess. I always thought they don't usually do well, particularly those that collect offshore in cold water area of California. Maybe those from the tropic do much better in reef tank :?
