Can this be used to feed corals and such? The only thing in the ingredients that is not found in the ocean is wheat. I'm asking because it cheap and easy to get.
From what I read, there is a lot of ingredients added to imitation crab meat that are not naturally found in the ocean. It's probably not dangerous to use, but cod and squid aren't very expensive either $20 should feed your tank for many months.
From reading the ingredient list Len linked to, I would worry about causing algae outbreaks with it. As Len said, you can buy natural fish material for relatively cheap compared to the crab meat (which from the article is actually fish meat, now I get to tell the wife that, she claims she's allergic to fish and eats imitation crab meat all the time!). I just wouldn't risk a problem.
