just an update. i have been taking my sun coral out of the tank and feeding them in a large bowl with tank water. the 4 polyps i had are now doing rather well, thanks for the info. i now have 4 very small(baby) polyps growing where others had died. i am finding it very hard to feed these new additions, is there a trick to feeding these small guys. can i use a liquid food on them until they get bigger?

Try adding cyclopeeze to your feeding mixture, it's probably small enough for the smaller polyps. If not, they will grow just by absoption of the nutrient flowing by, just not as fast as you would like.

Mine has alot of baby polyps on it as well. I just add cyclopeeze as was stated before and I can see them closing with food in the tentacles.
