I just want to whine ;) One of my recently acquired Centropyges has taken a liking to a nice Blasto colony I have. So far, it's just this one coral, so hopefully the buck stops there. If it bothers other blastos, I may have to fish it out. I've found no way of discourage her. Again, just venting :P

My coral biting centropyges started off as just a single coral biter, the other one learned from observation I guess, because before too long they both had several corals they bit everytime they made their loop around the tank.

Pics of the offending behavior would be a bit much to ask for eh?

Have you tried any means of negative re-enforcement? Not sure if it would work, but a tap on the glass every time she gets close to it?

I wonder if it's a culture or regional thing. Like how some orca pods only hunt fish and some only hunt mammals. I never felt I'd get lucky enough to buy a Centropyge that won't touch my corals or clams, so I just avoid them completely :(

Kev, I have a pair of C.joculators.

People keep telling me their Centropyges are reef safe, so I gave it another shot. If it's just this one blasto, I can live with it. If it moves on to a bunch of other stuff, I'll need to remove the angel.

joculators are real nice. The problem with dwarves is that it seems the most expensive ones are the ones that pick at all your corals.

it shouldnt be all that difficult for you to remove that angel from your tank- it being imaginary and all...you should be able to snap your fingers, and poof! its gone.

Oh! That's too bad! Why don't you post a full tank shot so we can see the damage?
