what's this snot on one of my trochus snails?

There's this snotty white tissue on a trochus snail in my tank I noticed today. I blow at it with a turkey baster, and the tissue seems like a mucous with a thin skin.

Do you have an anemone? If so its probably anemone poop, it always gets stuck on something. If not its either poop from something, or rotting food, either way go ahead and siphon it out of the tank.

It looks like calcareous sponge. But the pic is blurry so it is hard to tell.

yeah now that I look at it, I think it's a sponge. I don't have anemones, and it doesn't "siphon" off the snail, it's attached to it's shell.

I'm going to leave it, since the snail seems to be having no problems.
