replacing tank, new sand to prevent mini cycle?

hi,
im going to be replacing my old 24g tank with a new more reliable 24g. the tank has been running for 1mo now. i was wonding if it would be best to either transfer the existing sand or buy new sand, in effort to avoid a mini cycle? i currently have only a few snails, crabs, and misc inverts that came w/ the rock, but nothing that holds any great importance.

keep the old sand. you won't see that much difference.

If the old sand is loaded with detritus (e.g. if you cured your LR in the tank with the sand in place), I would consider replacing some of the sand with new one. But as bingo says, you won't see too much of a difference either way.
