purple tang with ich

i bought a juv purple tang from the lfs a few days ago , i think it may have ich... what are some good ways to treat this fish if it does have ich..

Hypo salinity in a QT tank.

i soaked spectra thera a+ in garlic and the ich went a way on my blue-eye (bristle tooth) tang. dosed garlic in whatever food i fed it everyday until it was gone.

"fight the fight from within" is what a very wise aquarist told me.

a cleaner shrimp may help too
