Iwasaki-15K-175 watt-SE Bulb

I have been using this bulb for a few days now. The color is great. It has just a hint of blue. My guess is that it will look a little more blue once the bulb breaks in. The corals seem to love it, they are all really expanded.

I would definately recommend this bulb.

Can I assume that this bulb is MH and not a MV like the 6500K?

Yes it is a MH bulb.

I did like my XM 10Ks very much. However, these are a nicer looking bulb. Also, they start up immediately. There is no more than a 3 second warm up time.

If the 175 watters are any indication, it will be interesting to see how bright the 250 and 400 watt version of this lamp will be...
