So I got one for my 75 SPS tank, so far it's very disapointing. At best I can get a .25" wave. I have a slightly off center overflow and since mine came with the wrong directions I am not sure if its just me.

I have the power all the way up on the transformer and the pulse set pretty fast. I have re aquascaped the tank in a few diefferent ways to see if a more open path would help but it doesnt seem to.

The tank also have a tunze aquaball, seio 802, and seio 602. The return is a ehiem 1262.

I am expecting a vortec tomorrow to replace the two seios.

I just thought I would see a bit more rocking on the surface with the wavebox.

The wavebox has two different directions?

Did you try to change the pulse setting? If it pulse too fast or too slow, it won't make as good of a "wave". The trick is to get the oscillating frequency of your tank, which mostly determined by the width.

I did try a bit but will have to fool around a bit more in the morning.

It came with diretions for the tunze nano DOC skimmer, instead of wavebox directions.

Just got it today, just wondering if I did the right thing getting this over the Wave2k

Start a thread over on the Tunze forum on RC, much as it pains me to suggest posting to RC. Roger Vitko of Tunze USA is very helpful and can quite likely send you a .pdf file of the correct instructions.

Thanks I am awaiting Rogers answer.

You would think for 500 bucks they would include the magnets as well. The wacky mounting hardware they send with there stuff is crazy. I dont think most US customers use frameless tanks.

I really do like the nano stream though. It moves in any direction, includes the magnet and is small enough to not look so ugly.Hopefully I can get a wave going soon.

I got it working, after setting the pulse just right. I get a nice 1.25" wave with the vortech on the other side of the 75. I also have the tunze nano stream and seio 602 still in so I have a nice flow going in my 75.

Glad to hear it is working out. A 1.25" wave would over flow in my tank.

Do you see a lot of flow/turbulence below the surface as the wave sweeps across? I've considered getting one for my 125g. Still not sure whether to go with that or a couple of streams.

It gives a nice overall sweeping motion. You can see the detritus and sediment moving back and forth in the tank. You can see the poylps moving in and out inside and outside the colonys.

You cant just have the wave box though you need more linear flow. Thats why I also use the vortech, nano stream, and seio, in my tank. So far it seems to have helped create the perfect flow in my tank but it wouldnt do enough alone.
