Is it possible to add an extra baffle to my fuge without draining? I do not want to take it out from under the tank. When I put it under I had to cut a hole in my wall to fit. I do not want to remove it.

I need the extra baffle to cut back on flow, and reduce some micro bubbles.

Any ideas would be appreciated.. Thanks

Yes you can.

One idea is to put a "gasket" on the edges and have it squezed in there so it does not move.

Another idea is to build a free standing baffle. If you do that you can plaec it where you need it. I've used free standing baffels a couple of times. They work OK. Even though they did not seal on the sides if you get them close enough not much will pass. The onse I did let the water pass over, so I made the a little long and made the stand part away from the end so I could turn it to get contact on the sides.

Sounds like a good idea Wazz. As for the gasket idea, what type of gasket. The free standing type I assume has a base made from glass. It sounds like between the 2 the gasket idea would be most effective. If you could advise me on the type of gasket and where I might find one.. Thanks.

You can also use marine rated weather stripping for the side gaskets. Another way to go is make the baffle so that some of it is out of the water and then super glue the exposed part in place. Once it has dried use some epoxy putty (like some people use to fix frags in place) to seal the edges.
