Tiny white critters?

Am in the middle of curing 210 lbs of liverock,7 days into it and glass is coverd with hundreds if not thousands of tiny white critters.

They seem to have 2 little wings and are crawling all over glass.

More than likely they are copepods or ampipods, harmless crustaceans that are quite common. You can do a google image search using those terms and see if they are close to what you have. Also here's a good article with pictures of many things that hitchhike into our tanks.

They do that, they come in waves as the population rises and falls. Once you get livestock in the tank they are a great auxilary food source.

Your tank looks very nice, what kind of light fixture is that? You may want to start a thread down in the Member's Tank Spec forum
