I live in SW Florida so I was thinking about going down to the beach and getting those small bi valves that you find in the sand to use as sand sifters. Has anyone tried this and what were the results good or bad

i dont live by the beach but i know what you are talkinga bout the little multi-color clams , ive always thought of bringing a bit back next time at the beach for the same purpose, i dont see any harm in it... you may wanna QT them some way for a few days first to let them "wash" themselves out

Coquina Clams require a surf. If you have a big surge device you can keep them but they can't survive in the typical reef.
