This is taking over our tank, the LFS calls it glove polyps and it has covered the sand as you can tell in the picture. The polyps have taken over several corals and have started to grow all over, I have heard turbo snails will eat them but they don't ....any suggestions

Harvest what you can for store credit and nuke the rest. Or trade your rock in on some new stuff.

I don't know anything that will eat those and just those. And they're in too close a proximity to kill with solutions like sodium hydroxide. The only method I can think of is going to be a PITA: remove what you can and replace the rocks that need replacing.

I was wondering if I tried to scrub the rock and rinse it with freshwater, if that would help or just...like you guys said just replace the rock

I think for any rocks that don't have any other corals you want to keep, you should just approach your LFS and see if they will trade you new live rock for it. They should be happy to do so since I would think they could sell those polyp covered rocks for much more than plain live rock. It's good to get fresh rock occasionally anyway, and scrubbing in fresh water is going to produce a lot of die off that won't be good for your tank.

I had a similar event with some zoas, and now palythoas, I just traded the whole dang rock/s in for newer rocks. Ended up trading one pest for another though as the new rock had mushroom hitchers on it and now they are spreading too. Better to trade them in then kill them. Someone will want them.
