Has anyone ever "hard plumbed" and Eheim 1048? Is it possible? Would regular PVC fittings connect to the in/out threads? I'm looking to make a calcium reactor and would like to hard plumb the pump I've already got.
I've tried. There is no american PVC that really fits (1/2" is closest, of course). The thread spacing/pitch also seems to be a bit different. I've seen hard plumbing for Ehiems, but you will probably have to look to Europe for those parts.
I hard plumbed mine for a DIY CaRxt. Wait... I used a small section of vinyl tubing to get everything connected, so I guess it is not really hard-core hard plumbed.
