i have a 30g with a 15g sump running 6 months
all things are very stable so far and load is not very bad at all
currently have
pair of clowns 2 inches each or less maybe
yellow watchman goby
sunrise dottyback
pistol shrimp
will be adding a skunk cleaner in a week or less

im wanting to remove the dottyback as i think hes messing with my ywg a little to much

when i remove the dotty could i add a trio of yellow or blue assessors or would that be to much ? i know they are smaller then the dotty back but 3 of them would be alot more then one dotty so ?

i would just add 2 but the sites i have been reading said that one is fine or a small group of 3 is also fine

so is 2 not good
can the blue and yellow variety be mixed - like 2 yellow and 1 blue or vice-versa? or 1 blue and 1 yellow?

any information woul dbe great
thanks matt

I looked into getting those at one point, but my fish store couldn't get them.

A quote from my guide book: Can be kept on it's own or in small aggregations. To establish a group, the tank should be large enough and offer lots of rocky refuge in case squabbles occur. A proper assemblage would include three small individuals and one larger specimen in a tank of 100 gal. or more. Larger individuals have a greater tendency to fight with each other; best to keep one per tank.

It sounds like, if you have enough rockwork, maybe you could get it to work, but be prepared for the worst. It doesn't mention if a yellow and a blue will fight.
