Aquatic Gardens salt mix

Hello All,

I just purchased a bag of this salt mix. I never saw it before on the shelf and thought I would try something new. Now that I am home and making up a batch of salt water, I see this is made in China.

Chinese products are in news - tires, toothpaste, children's toys and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this product?

I have been using this stuff the last month or so actually. Test results all seem good and normal...TBH I did notice the china label a few days ago and will probably be switching very soon....Would hate to have tainted salt like the dog food....

I've never used it, but China quality control really does scare me.

Thanks for your comments. I will use this batch of salt water I just made, but the rest of the bag is going in the garbage.

I'd steer away from buying it again, but throwing the rest out seems wasteful unless you notice negative results. Maybe add small amounts to your new mix? Then again I don't have horrendously valuable species in my tanks.

I was saying I like it other than being from China. BUT since I now was trying to find any info on this brand that I could...there really seems to be none around.. Think I'll just goto instant ocean!

IO is what I have always used.
