I had one for a few months. It ate well and did not pick at anything. Don't know if it ate aipstias because I never had any. Oneday with out any symptoms it just up and died
Ya, books say they SOMETIMES pick at corals, but I was wandering if anyone had experience first hand.... I think it makes a difference if the fish is fed well?
I have one who ate aiptasia in my reef. I couldn't use pepermints because my lionfish thinks they are snacks, so I took a chance. I got lucky, because this one leaves my corals alone (LPS and SPS) and also doesn't bother my clam.

Why sometimes CBB begins to bite the corals and Tridacns it is difficult to say.
Beside my friend CBB long lives together with Tridacns much long and did not touch them, when in aquarium have done the transposition and Tridacns turned out to be on not accustomed places, he suddenly began their bite...
My CBB never eat the corals, Tridacn I have no...

My english is not very good, excuse me.
I've had a CopperBand in my tank for about 3 years now, i was lucky with it on the Aiptasia front, it eats them readily, and my main tank looks aiptasia free as far as i can tell, my overflows on the other hand are not.
It ate frozen mysis and brine from the start, loves getting cleaned by shrimp or gobies and is a beautiful fish to watch.
It's never touched any of my 3 clams nor have i seen it nip coral polyps either, i think it depends on the fish.
