For those of you with spawning...

Heres a little questionaire for those of you who have had spawning events in the past.

What wattage, kelvin degrees, and actinic to white ratio was the light

What was the distance between the light to the surface to the spawning creature.

What species spawned.

What is the length of daytime/nighttime on your lighting

Is there a moon cycle, and does it have a full moon cycle

Was there a water change affecting the creature

Was there a temperature change

Was it the only creature to spawn

Were there two or more of the species that spawned.

Did the spawning reoccur? And were the same factors contributing to the respawning?

I know this seems like a lot of questions but all the info I can gather will help me to artificially create a "mating season"

Pretty much all info I can gather will be helpful, corals, clams, fish etc.

RBTA Spawn 3 times so far, once each month for the last three months.

Lighting is 2x250w HQI 14 K Phenix
8x54w T5 4 10k and 4 actintic

Full mooncycle moonlights

no temp swing

no water change

light timing.

actinitics come on at 0700

10k t5 come on at 0745

halides come on at 0900

halides go off at 1400

10 k go off at 1930

actintics go off at 2045

moonlights on at 2040.

It is the only thing in the tank to spawn so far. There is only one in the tank. It is inhabited by 2 false percs.

Anything else?

What is the length of daytime/nighttime on your lighting

10 hours of actinic and 9 hours of MH. The MH come on/off one at a time with 15 minute between each.

Is there a moon cycle, and does it have a full moon cycle

I was using the moon light that comes with a Tunze 7095 multi-controller. The bulb was directly over the pocillopora that spawned.

Was there a water change affecting the creature

I don't think so.

Was there a temperature change

No.

Was it the only creature to spawn

Yes.

Were there two or more of the species that spawned.

No.

Did the spawning reoccur? And were the same factors contributing to the respawning?

I'm not sure. I didn't actually witness the spawning event, I only saw the resultant baby pocillopora's all over my tank. See this thread for details about my spawn.
