first, if you used punctuation, it would be alot easier for people to understand what you are asking. secondly, what other information can you offer to help us try to figure out a decent reply?
have you tested your water?
what are the parameters?
what kind of lighting and how many watts?
how did you acclimate?

it may just be shedding....they do this naturally..if so, then you have nothing to worry about...siphon out the loose "skin" and leave it be....

like X said, check your water parameters to make sure everything is fine..

I find that these corals need adequate flow and moderate lighting...when i put ours near the top, the heavy flow and intense light kept it from fully opening...

Shedding is natural. Those things that came out are mesinternal filiments, they pop out when they are stressed.

Keep an eye on it. They very rarely die from bacteria or stress, they usually shirvel up and disappear.

The same thing happened to me. I purchased a mushroom leather and placed it close to the top of the tank. I have two VHO 160 watts actinic white on 10 hours and two MH 175 watts 10K on for 5 hours. The lights are 10" from the surface of the water.

The first day it was open and after that it remained retracted for a week until I decided to turn off the MH. On three days the mushroom was open again. I am planning to increase the time of the MH slowly to see its reaction. In the event it continues to retract I will place it lower.

There is another mushroom lower in the tank that wa close and is opening also with the MH off.

It appears they don't like strong lighting.

Here is a FTS with the leather in the center top open (first day in tank) and another photo closed.
