I don't know who much testing and verification and validation did they do to ensure the plankton is saved, and the metric for gentleness and efficency. :?
its funny you should say that, all the zeo guys are throwing their BKs out for this and reporting better results. to early to tell but who knows...
seems extrmemly expensive and I am not a fan of the color or construction. it seems like it's a take on the mod'ing a becket thread over on RC as well...
i am also curious because these skimmers have been out in taiwain for awhile...although i assume not under the kz name...
Having owned many skimmers in my days ranging from $20 to $1,500, I've come to the personal conclusion that it doesn't take very much money to make a proper skimmer, and the differences between my current 4 figure skimmer and my previous $400 skimmer is not all that dramatic.
If you have the money, by all means, pony up for the more expensive design if it is better. But I rather put my money into livestock I guess I'm simply not a fan of reefkeeping gadgetry, despite my current equipment list suggesting otherwise The beauty of this hobby is that it can appeal to a wide range of people, including "techies."
My $14,099 skimmer *create* planktons and coral embryos from CO2, nitrate and H2O in the tank water with a patented plasma mechanism. Anyone interested? (BTW, it is 100% transparent, and take up no room under your tank)
i'm only questioning its meeting the value of its price, based on what's currently available/around, and even if it's an improvement on what's out there, if the amount of improvement is not only justified, but even necessary
fyi-afaik-nothing has yet to compare with a limewood air diffuser driven skimmer-at least for bubble size and density (given the properly strengthed air supply, natch)
