It hasn't looked happy since I put it in. It just tightened up and never opened.

I freshwater dipped it before it put it in. It looked happy at the store. My water was perfect when I placed it in there. Nitrates slightly high at 10 and clacium at 560. Other than that everything was perfect. Now it just looks like a rotting apple.

calcium sounds way too high, and nitrate is fine actually (well not bad). Have you tried placing him somewhere else in the tank? Maybe there is too much flow where it's at, or too much/little light.

You may want to test alkalinity. If your calcium is that high, it could be affecting it.
Exactly what I was going to mention.

But if your calcium is that high and you haven't added anything to boost it up, you might have faulty test kits. Try some new quality test kits or bring it to someone that can test your parameters for you. ;)
