No problem I was just shocked and surprised that I was attacked so quickly by stating he shouldnt have a school of tangs in a 50 gallon.
I registered here because I read some very good posts and thought this was a cool community.

Where does it say I planned to put a school of tangs in a 50? I lost a tang, and I have learned from my mistakes. That was a long time ago. You never answered me if you never lost any fish or corals? If you read my thread with average comprehension skills you would have realized I learned from my mistakes.

Mrktplayer, I personally did not find anything in Stlouisguy's initial post to earn your personal attack (which are not condoned in this community). He essentially told you to seriously reconsider your fish choices in a 50 gallon - an opinion which I agree with. I would have worded it less rhetorically/abrasively myself, but calling him a Moron was undeserved. But it appears you realized this and sent him an apology which was not accepted.
Stlouisguy, the insult was undeserved - no doubt about it. If I had read it earlier, I would've intervened and perhaps could've staved off this confrontation. I would have recommended you accept his apology. I'm not clear why you insist on a public apology, so long as the apology is sincerely contrite. I know it's not an easy thing for most people to apologize and admit fault, so I think Mrtkplayer demonstrated good faith and maturity to apologize to you for his error. By you not accepting his apology and perpetuating a public feud, the situation only got worse. I believe you are want to take the high road, so I suggest that you try to refrain from the personal jabs (e.g. "I take the lives in this hobby jas as serious. I'm sorry you dont.") These little digs only inflame the situation and does not help bring understanding nor closure to a conflict.
IMHO, this was a clear case of how easily misinterpreted the internet medium is. I'm sure none of this would've happened had we had this conversation in real life. A couple of simple misinterpretations mixed with responses fueled by personal ego can snowball to something hard to stop.
Let's please put this behind us and get back to this hobby we love.

Len, I know. This is all my fault. I woke up, checked my thread and took it the wrong way. I've had a rough 2 years and my temper has gotten kind of bad lately. I do apologize to everyone and StLouis especially. I'm not the type to back down and neither does he... which is a good thing on him.
