even still, you would know what an anemone looks like that is connected to something, be it glass, acrylic, or rock.

Yes, my LFS had him alone in a bare bottom.

Although I saw him in two different spots over the month I saw him at various times, he was always stuck to the glass.

My LFS had tried him in one of their clown displays, but he was getting beat up so they moved him back alone.

As for color, his base and foot look the same as at the LFS. I can see today that he still attached, but spent the whole day closed almost fully with his tentacles angled down.

The yellow tipped damsel never bothered him, just stayed close by and guarded really.

I did read a nice 53 page .pdf online and it said that a dead anemone smells horrible and that they can start to decay while alive. What would decay signs be and could I smell from the water or would I need to remve him and smell? If his foot is still latched, I would assume he is still alive (ie death = no power to attach)?

And yes, I raised my temp up to almost 80.

Time will tell..........

Now he's pretty much completely opened up, but only has about 20 green tentacles. The rest are either bleached or gone. I could see that some white matter floated away, presumed to be dying tentacles.

Although he finally opened up, he looks terrible.

If he lives, it would be a miracle...
