Just what it says. I had a frogspawn with 3 different heads. One day 2 of the heads were gone. Just like they had died. White bone left behind. A week later, I did a water change, and washed a head up floating around in the water. I grabbed it and put it in my small tank where there is not as much water flow. Its alive, but not attached to anything. Cany anyone tell me what I can do to attach this head to something and hope that it grows??

Thanks in advance
Sam

In the shop I used to work sometimes we'd find some heads that had split and part went to the bottom of the tank. The free floating head was carefully moved to a slightly lower flow area and in about the time span of 2 months with proper Ca levels had developed a small new skeleton that I then attached to a reef plug. As far as everything else we just had it in a rough crushed coral system where it could develop on its own

This happened to an Elegance coral of mine years ago. It regrew it's base. I would check the Ca and possibly strontium levels in your tank, or start a B-Ionic regiment if you aren't dosing anything.
