ok i am wanting to add some wrasses to the tank 75g with a 55g sump/fuge
i am wanting to buy some fish from either liveaquaria or marinedepot. The question is how many fish is a good number to buy at a time when your buying them from a website. I would like to combine shipping on as many as i can but still not over do the tank.

my plan is to add 3 orange back fairy wrasses, 1 radiant wrasse and 1 kole tang

the tank already has 2 clowns and a ywg/pistol pair.

really i just want to get the most for my shipping cost but still not hurt my tank. I recently combined my 30g and a 55g together to make the 75g so its not a new tank (so to speak). But i still dont want to overdue it by to much, so what a good nuber to stay with to adding at once? i was thinking to get the 4 wrasses and then wait on the tang till a month or so? anyone have any input>

thanks matt

Ideally, you want to add them slowly, but I understand the pragmatism with combined shipping. The best approach would be to set up a quarantine tank. Introduce the five fish into it, observe them (medicate as needed), then add them to the main tank over time.

That said, I've added six fish to a 120 gallon at the same time without any long term negative impact. The four wrasses followed by the tang in another shipment is a nice idea. Or better yet, the three fairy wrasses, then the tang and radiant with other livestock down the line.

ok, I could do the 3 fairy and then the tang radiant later. -- but you say with other livestock? Do you think i could have more then this ammount in the tank? If so whats a good fish to add along with those?
