Let's share pictures of our favorite fish. Mine's an antennata lionfish. A great eater and fun to have.

I'm considering getting one of these fish - how active are they compared to the volatins? Do they hide an awful lot? I have set-up a 65 gallon just for a lionfish and have been disappointed with the ones I have seen - I saw a Radiata today at it never moved. I had a zebra dwarf and it hardly moved. All the volatins I've seen are out hovering front and center - what's this fish like?

Thanks

Carolyn

I don't have experience with other lionfish, but from what I'm aware of majority of them hardly move anyways. They are not active fish like Tangs. Juveniles will hide in the beginning, but once they're used to the tank they don't hide as much.

Mine either begs for food or chills on a rock, so you may not be happy with an Antennata either. They're not as fun as active fish, but I do enjoy feeding him.

That's my fav fish that I saw in your tank as well. I sooo want one :)

thanks. How are the frags doing?

They seem to be doing ok, except the small piece you cut me of that purple stuff. What was that anyways? It doesn't want to expand every day. I might have to move it somewhere.

Green star polyp. It will take it a week or two to get adjusted. They're hardy and things should be fine, but if it doesn't make it I'll replace it.

Jason

I'm quite partial to that Chevron poking it's head in on the left side.

As to favorite, that's hard to say.

This is my blackback butterfly. I've had him for over 6 years. Grown from the size of a silver dollar to over 4 inches. Great citizen!
