I need to redo my tank, sadly. I would like bids or recommendations for companies that will make such a large custom tank. The dimensions are 82" x 28" x 46". I want two overflows for two 2" drains. And Black on the back and sides of the tank.

Thanks,

glass cages are also hit or miss, i got my tank there, and overall, it looked like a couple of 5th graders did the construction.
meanwhile, another guy was picking up a tank the same time as me, and his looked perfect.

glass cages does a pretty good job for the money on GLASS CAGES.

I've NEVER seen ANYONE happy with an acrylic job though.

When i tried working with them i told the guy on the phone i want the overflows on the outside of the tank so it didnt take up space inside, and only on the sides of the tank (since both sides are viewable) and the guy on the phone told me " Your design is too complicating to do, its unrealistic. Go somewhere else!" and hung up...i was pretty shocked..

after that i went to truvu and they did everything i needed and even helped me design it better...

i've seen more complaints than recommendations for glass cages

for acrylic, you must not have looked very hard, i've spoken with dozens of people happy when doing my research and now i have a custom 600 add me to the list. there are a few top notch acrylic tank makers, midwest custom aquarium and envision to name a few.

i think snows just trying to express how rare cases like yours are...Acrylic is EASILY blemished by small scratches, scuffs, spider cracks from drilling, etc....some people are even as anal to flame polish the inside if holes drilled, even when its never seen...peoples standards differ, if the maker puts out a flawless acrylic tank (assuming its a custom job) chances are it'll get scratched, nicked, or scuffed by just setting the thing up..minor or not..

There are many manufacturers out there for custom tanks...your budget plays a big role in what you can get...choose names you trust, otherwise speak to people who have had tanks made by them...Good luck!
