Unfortunately that will not electrocute the fish, as the salt water in your tank has a higher conductive capacity than the fish. Electrofishing only works up to a conductivity of ~800mS; whereas natural seawater has a conductivity of ~3.27 S (units are microsiemens and siemens or 1S = 1,000,000 mS).

Sorry to disappoint X, but keep fishing. I bet it is sorta fun.....

actually the fishing is not fun. my heart is racing and i am petrified because it's like a feeding frenzy and i don't want to hook the wrong fish...i have to keep yanking it back so this doesn't happen.
