Hello all. After about 12 years in the hobby, I'm finally calling it quits. I'm hoping to sell all of my livestock locally and then I'll be parting my system out online. My question is this. I've got a trumpet coral with roughly 300 heads on it. It is about the size of a volleyball. I was wondering what I should try to get for it. Any thoughts would be great.

Thanks in advance,
Phillip

i'd break it in about 50 pieces and sell the small frags with 6 heads or so. IMO it will be alot easier to sell the small frags than the massive colony.
plus, you'll yield more cash.

Thanks! I've thought about that as well. I'm big on saving the reef too. Money isn't my biggest issue with it, I was more worried about trying to get it into another tank without breaking part of it anyway. Piecing it out sounds like the way I'm leaning.

Thanks,
Phillip

Have you ever tried to move a calaustrea that large? chances are you'll end up with frags no matter what way you do it.

Do you have a picture?
