howdy do there mr. mike....
i am going to try and put the flow through this silly idea i have for an "under rock" closed loop.....

think it will work?

I saw them too, I was thinking of picking one up for a return from my basement but skipped. Wonder why they are blowing them out, in anycase its a good deal.

Or it could ruin your floors

Looking at your picture how is the water fed into the tank? over the side? Because those low outlet ports will siphon water to that level in the case of a power outage, the higher one might suck in enough air to break the siphon, however you need a pretty big sump to get all the water you have.

I think he wanted to use this as a closed loop though.

if its a closed loop, which it is, is it safe to assume that the intake and output of the pump will balance itself out in a power outage?

the return from the sump itself has an out put that is just a bit below the overflow line.

Ah ok, yeah if it's truly a closed loop no problem, I thought it was a return from the sump.

it is a 48x24x25 on a 40" stand.

and the pump came today!!!!

i pumped some water around the bathtub, its quiet....

at least it was in there!
