Last night I became the lucky owner of a Cyphastrea - Meteor Shower. Seems like most people are putting them in dim lighting to get them to color up. Do you guys/gals agree? Should I feed it? I've checked all of my books and not a one discusses this coral.

Mine is off to the side and as my MH bulb ages, it's regaining it's color so I agree :)

I'm against target feeding as many know it(shooting food at it or placing large chunks on it). Broadcast feeding is easier on corals and allows them to get the particle size they want. For corals that need an extra boost I'll take my lil baster and let it rain down on them slowly. For the most part I just shoot a bunch of Roti-Feast (and now Oyster-Feast) into the tank and let everything take what they want, all pumps on :)

Mine is halfway up my system and doesnt really have a nice pop to the base, although the polyps are still nice and bright. I would try moving it lower but its encrusted and moving it now is not an option for me.

It's not quite photo worthy ATM. The guy I got it from had it way overlit. The orange is good. The green/blue is kind of like a pale mint color right now.

Nice Racer! Love the color combo, mine doesnt have that nice green background. Mines also just a frag still so we will see as it grows out.
