Hey Guys-

I'm in the market for a small (30g) tank, and came across this:

I've always built my tanks/sumps piece by piece in the past, but due to space constraints in my new apartment, I'll have to settle for something small like this. Plus this is a sumpless system, which minimizes the chance of water getting on the floor. I'd copnsidered a Biocube or the Red Sea Max, which are similar (all-in-one), but I much prefer the rimless desgin of this. Plus, it comes with a 150W MH.

Anyone ever used one or seen one in operation? I'm particularly worried about the efficacy and noise of the skimmer.

Thanks~

Never seen one. Looks cool. Any specs on the brands/size of pumps? I imagine I'd be unhappy with the flow and have to mod it somehow. Maybe add a second small pump or split up the flow into 4 outlets. I wonder about that skimmer too. A stronger pump or airstone mod might be in order.

Thanks guys.

The few threads I've seen mention adding more flow. I don't know what brand the pumps are- I assume they're no-name generics. The return is 396 GPH and the skimmer's is 160.

I think the skimmer is straight-up Venturi, no needlewheel. So it might be possible to mod that.

I can get the whole thing (tank, stand, light) for about $800 at a lfs.
