I have a 75 gal FOWLR, just recently set up (3 weeks), I have roughly 45lbs of LR and around 2-3 inches of sugar sand, about 1200 gph of flow and use only RO for water changes and top offs, I have a Deltec MCE-600 Protein Skimmer on order, this hang on skimmer has place where you can put either a bag or carbon or RowaPhos, which would reccomend and why? Thanks.

Sincerely,

Shaemus

Carbon is for cleaning water and taking out impurities. Rowaphos is strictly for removing phosphates and silicates. I run both, but rely more on the ROWA for keeping hair algae away and the carbon for keeping the water clear.
